“With 96 percent of our client families reporting that our ABA therapy has enhanced their child’s quality of life, Inner Circle Autism Network is helping children with autism discover, explore, and achieve,” said Sarah Varillas, BCBA, chief clinical officer, Inner Circle Autism Network.
One in 36 U.S. children are diagnosed with autism, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, up from 1 in 54 children in 2016. ABA is considered an evidence-based best practice treatment by the American Psychological Association and the standard of care by the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Pediatrics, Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, National Institute of Child Health & Human Development, and National Institute of Mental Health, among others.
ABA supports children with autism in learning new skills and positive behaviors, such as communication, social awareness, positive peer interactions, academic engagement, self-care skills, and play skills, and in mitigating challenging behaviors, such as tantrums, bed-wetting, and self-injury.
