With supportive supervision and hands-on experience, Inner Circle fieldwork students never have to feel like they’re navigating the ins and outs of pursuing BCBA certification on their own.

Inner Circle’s fieldwork program empowers registered behavior technicians (RBTs) pursuing a master’s degree and BCBA certification to complete their required fieldwork hours while working full time in an Inner Circle clinic. Our program provides a supportive, collegial, and hands-on training experience that prepares RBTs for a successful career as a BCBA.

“Our goal is to ensure that every single one of our technicians who decides to pursue a career in Applied Behavior Analysis feels supported by qualified supervisors who are excited and engaged in their training experience,” said Sarah Varillas, BCBA, Inner Circle Autism Network chief clinical officer. “Our fieldwork program is structured so that students can clearly see the path to becoming a BCBA and move along that path with confidence.”

Inner Circle’s comprehensive fieldwork program provides a clear gameplan, consistent support, and valuable real-world experience for students earning the fieldwork hours required to become a BCBA.

“I was looking for a good fieldwork position to get the supervision and mentorship I desperately wanted,” said Savanna Anderson, Inner Circle RBT. “Inner Circle’s fieldwork program was perfectly outlined, and everyone was very supportive – exactly what I was looking for.”

From the early days of learning the foundational RBT skills to assisting with assessment activities, Inner Circle ensures fieldwork students are prepared and supported every step of the way. That support includes regular sessions with supervisors to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and receive constructive feedback that builds confidence and sets students up for a successful BCBA career post-certification.

“It’s all about teaching students the skills they need to make an impact as a BCBA and giving them plenty of opportunities to practice those skills in real-world settings and build on their progress every single day,” said Varillas.

In every facet of fieldwork, Inner Circle provides consistent mentorship and encouragement to develop students into well-rounded BCBA clinicians capable of delivering high-quality ABA therapy services.

“I’ve worked at other clinics where they throw you in and you’ve got to figure everything out on your own,” said Tristan Mautz, Inner Circle RBT. “But the support from Inner Circle has been phenomenal and made me feel really comfortable and a lot less stressed.”
