Inner Circle BCBA Career Path

The Student Apprentice role is an opportunity specifically designed to support students in their final 300-400 unrestricted hours of fieldwork required to apply for taking the BCBA exam. Working under the direct supervision of the Treatment Director, the Student Apprentice is paired with the Treatment Director and assigned a caseload of clients to gain hands-on experience and develop essential case management skills necessary for a successful career as a BCBA. The primary responsibilities of the Student Apprentice encompass various aspects of client assessment and case management. These include actively participating in the assessment process, identifying treatment plan goals, assisting in the formulation of initial and/or concurrent treatment plans, as well as identifying target behaviors that require reduction and proposing and designing interventions to address them.

Furthermore, the Student Apprentice plays a vital role in training staff members on implementing treatment and behavior plans with clients, as well as providing valuable assistance in parent training.

This is a role in which a BCBA may elect to complete. A BCBA Fellow can choose a 3-6 month development plan which will be individualized to build up their skills and confidence in areas of interest. Their development plan will include direct care requirements, receiving mentorship in the areas they elect and an individualized pace for caseload ramping. Once their fellowship is completed, they will be eligible for the BCBA Associate (if less than 1 year certified) or Clinical Supervisor position. This a great opportunity for BCBAs that want to enhance their supervised experience or are transitioning from non clinic-based roles (e.g. schools, residential facilities).

Whoot! You did it. You passed your exam and are now a BCBA. In this role, BCBA Associates will be mentored by our team of exemplary clinicians! BCBA Associates complete onboarding training and manage a caseload of clients with robust mentorship from their supervisor.

BCBA Associates work with their supervisor to learn how to ensure quality services are provided and meeting documentation timelines. This role is all about gaining confidence and independence. We are here to support you along the way!

The Clinical Supervisor role is for BCBAs with more than one year of experience. Clinical Supervisors maintain a caseload of clients ensuring quality services are provided. They troubleshoot any barrier to client or technician success with their supervisor. Our Clinical Supervisors refine their clinical decision-making and mentor a team of technicians and fieldwork students.

Way to go! The Senior Clinical Supervisor position is for star performers at Inner Circle. This role is a developmental position for leadership opportunities. Sr. Clinical Supervisors are provided opportunities to attend leadership trainings, operations & quality assurance meetings displaying the metrics of their clinic & contributing towards improvement and training initiatives. Sr. Clinical Supervisors provide mentorship to Clinical Supervisors & BCBA Associates.

Treatment Directors oversee a team of clinicians in their assigned clinic. They are the support system of the Clinical Supervisors, technicians and families. Treatment Directors maintain a small caseload of clients to keep them grounded and modeling what it means to provide high quality services and live out Inner Circle values. Treatment Directors work closely with corporate leadership refining Inner Circle processes to improve client and team members experiences.
